OTHER/ "The People I Coach Aren't Listed Here....What Should I Do?"
If you coach people in an area that isn't covered here, please send me an email to Coach@CoachesWithClients.com and tell me what you coach people on. If Ihear from enough coaches with the same kind of thing, I'll write one for you.
In the meantime, see if you can take one of the ones listed above and change it to match your own personal target market. For example if you're a Real Estate coach, maybe you can use the"sales professionals" email and insert words like "Realtor" and "transactions",etc.
If you can't see a way to use one of the commercials above AND we don't get enough requests for a session based on what you coach, that could mean you need more work on your target market. It might be too far "out there" or you just might not be looking at what the"market wants".
A lot of coaches focus on what they (the coach) wants to help people with instead of looking at the marketplace and seeing what people are actually looking for help with. If you've been struggling with your niche market, rest assured, help is on the way. Stay tuned.
"Client Getting Commercial Secrets..."
Wouldn’t it be great if you didn’t have to “convince” people to try out your coaching? Even better, what if people where begging you to help them?
The difference between you trying to convince them, and them begging you comes down to the words you use to explain your coaching.
I’m going to share with you the exact words to say to get clients in a second, but first here's my personal "blood bath" story of "networking event terror" when someone asked me “So What Do You Do?” Let me know if you can relate... How do you feel when people ask, "so, what do you do?"... I used to freeze up, get nervous, and try my best to fumble through an explanation of coaching and then get ZERO clients. Even when I did have something "planned" to say, people would look at me weird. Or... They would nod and smile and say "very interesting" in a way that made me know they didn't think very highly of me. It was VERY FRUSTRATING! But then I figured out a way of taking those situations and having the reverse experience. Where people would immediately say... "I need that. I've been looking for someone like you all my life. Would you be *willing* to work with me?"
I remember the first time I had that reaction from someone. I was totally floored (but I kept my poker face on and 'played it off' like this sort of thing happens to me all of the time). People probably ask you what you "do" all of the time. If you ever go to networking events, then sometimes you "get to" say what you do in front of an audience. You get to give a 'commercial' to people 1 at a time or in front of a group. But if you don't know what to say, it can quickly become a nightmare. In my "Client Attraction & Money Making Mastery 2010" program, I teach this formula for quickly creating your own "Client Getting Commercial"...
Simply answer these 4 questions:
#1. Who do you work with?
#2. What is their biggest problem?
#3. What do you do to help them?
#4. What result do they end up with?
Answer these questions yourself and create your custom “Client Getting Commercial”.
These types of "Client Getting Commercials" will get you clients because...
#1: Identifying a specific type of person and specific results always out-performs speaking in "generalities". Most coaches talk about "getting to the next level" and "bridging the gap", but ultimately those things are too vague.
#2: You're addressing their BIG problems, and the emotional pains that these problems are causing them is exactly what motives people to take action and get help (your help).
#3: You've explained, in a very concise way, how you work with people. This way they "get" what you do in way that makes sense and isn't confusing.
Notice that none of the examples above even mention the word coaching! Why? People don't care about HOW you help them. They just want the results.
Practice saying your “Client-Getting Commercial” 5 times or so, until you have it memorized. Then, think of some places where you can actually use this over the next few days and watch how people respond.
Notice how people start getting very interested in what you do by asking for your business card, telling you that they know someone who needs you, and if they are in the situation you described... "They'll practically BEG you to help them!"
